Sam Howard Funeral Set. Was Member of Film Comedy Team, The Three Stooges. Services for Sam (Shemp) Howard, 59, a member of the movie comedy team. The Three Stooges will he held tomorrow at 1 p. m. at the Home of Peace Cemetery. Mr. Howard, under contract to Columbia Studios for the past 23 years, died of an acute coronary occlusion late Tuesday night as he was being driven from his home at 10322 Riverside drive, North Hollywood, to St. Joseph's Hospital, Burbank. The comedian leaves his widow, Gertrude; a son, Morton. and two brothers, Benjamin and Moe. Services are under the direction of Malinow & Simons Mortuary.
