English: View from Holländaröd looking over Brofjorden to Ryxö Island and Preemraff oil refinery behind it on a snowy night. On such nights, the snow flakes catch and reflects the light in a way that lights up the whole sky over the fjord. Holländaröd, Lysekil Municipality, Sweden. The big main glow comes from the product terminal where the tankers are loading. Two of the refinery's three orange flames are visible. The photo is taken about 5 km (3.1 mi) from the refinery trough falling snow that makes the distant features a bit fuzzy. The falling snow was moving away from this shore, leaving the jetty with the dock fingers relatively sharp. |
