Summary

Description
English: An ancestry map of the genetic makeup of South Asian populations, showing the average amount of West Asian (Iranian Neolithic), European (Western Steppe Herders), Eastern Asian (ANEA&ASEA) and indigenous South Asian (AASI/Tianyuan/Hoabinhian) ancestry components (scaled), taking admixture in used proxies into account.

The used data set is freely available (G25). The supervised models were run and tested with Vahaduo. The indigenous (AASI) ancestry is represented by imrpoved AASI proxies (NW and S.AASI by DMXX), the Eastern-like ancestry is represented by Ancient Southern East Asian and Ancient Northern East Asian components, the Western Asian-like ancestry is samplified by Anatolian HG and the Western ancestry among N.Iranians (excluding ANE/ENA contributions), the European-like ancestry is represented by the WHG and UP HG.

The model was tested and errornous results were minimized. The results overall correspond with Li et al. 2009 (Figure 1:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2790568/figure/fig1/)

This model used scaled datasets (average). The AASI, as shown in previous studies, are best modeled to have diverged (trifuricated) from the ancestors of the ESEA and Australasian lineages.
