George Irving Shepard, b. at Bethel, Conn., 22 Sept. 1822; amerchant; married at Guilford, Conn., 22 Sept. 1844, by Rev. L. T.Bennett, Protestant Episcopal, to Susanna Loper, dau. of Henry andAnna (Fowler) Loper, of Guilford, where she was born 10 July 1826.She died at Warsaw, Mo., 31 Oct. 1852, and was buried at Guilford. Hemarried (2d), 16 Aug. 1855, at New York City, Clara Trowbridge Parsons,dau. of Abraham and Amelia (Trowbridge) Parsons, of New York. Shewas born at Pine Plains, N. Y., 21 Oct. 1821.
