George Irving Shepard, b. at Bethel, Conn., 22 Sept. 1822; amerchant; married at Guilford, Conn., 22 Sept. 1844, by Rev. L. T.Bennett, Protestant Episcopal, to Susanna Loper, dau. of Henry andAnna (Fowler) Loper, of Guilford, where she was born 10 July 1826.She died at Warsaw, Mo., 31 Oct. 1852, and was buried at Guilford. Hemarried (2d), 16 Aug. 1855, at New York City, Clara Trowbridge Parsons,dau. of Abraham and Amelia (Trowbridge) Parsons, of New York. Shewas born at Pine Plains, N. Y., 21 Oct. 1821. He dwelt in Macon, Ga.,from 1838 to 1846; at Warsaw, Mo., till 1864; and then moved toPleasant Hill, Mo., where he was living in Aug. 1875. 10710
