Summary
| Description |
English: The distribution of dwell times (the duration for which a particular page was visible to the reader) across 242 language editions of Wikipedia. The top chart shows a histogram of dwell times less than one hour long (the x-axis is linear, and truncated to 300 seconds for clarity). In this chart we can see that the median dwell time is about 25 seconds long and that the distribution of dwell times is very skewed, with the arithmetic mean far from the median. The y-axis represents the probability that a given page view is in a given box. In the lower figure, which shows the same data, the dwell times are log-transformed and the data appear bell-shaped, with some skew to the right. |
