Summary

Description

Three frame infrared mosaic of Titan's surface acquired by Cassini as it approached the moon for the T-101 flyby on July 10, 2017. At the time, Cassini was ~321,000 km from the moon.

This image captures Titan's northern midlatitudes. The 400 km Menrva Crater is visible in the bottom left corner. It is surrounded by the dark equatorial dune fields of the western Fensal region. At top, the northern lake district is visible. The lakes in this region are surrounded by bright terrain, which is interpreted to be evaporitic hydrocarbon deposits.
