Summary

Description
English: Ravni Dabar, length ca. 6500 m (650 m the fertile uvala floor only) (3 uvalas forming one large depression), altitude ca. 750 m, Croatian Dinaric Alps. This beautiful area, frequently visited by sportive rock climbers, together with the neighbouring Crni Dabar and Dosen Dabar, forms the large closed karst depression (in this case 3 uvalas).
Geology: Due to sizes, uvalas probably developed since Pliocene, maybe even earlier by both, faulting and karstification. Massive tectonics and karstification karstified the Velebit mountain chain way down, deeply under the Adriatic Sea level (!).
