Deutsch: Vorgang der Installation eines CD-Treibers für MS-DOS 6.22. Um Windows 95 via CD zu installieren, muss unter MS-DOS ein CD-Treiber vorhanden und installiert sein. Der Treiber wird über eine 3,5"-Zoll-Diskette in Laufwerk A eingeführt. Der Stil des Fenster erinnert an den von Windows 3.1 Das Eingabefeld ist links, die Buttons sind rechts. Hier sieht man in der ersten Zeile im Fenster die zu kopierende Datei, in der zweiten Zeile den Zielort nach dem Kopieren der Datei. Als visuelles Element dient ein Fortschrittsbalken in Kombinaton mit einer Prozentanzeige. Die Ursprungsdateien auf der Diskette haben eine "verstümmelte" Dateiendung, wobei der letzte der drei Buchstaben ein _ ist. Dies soll wohl verhindern, dass aus Versehen eine Datei von der Diskette ausgeführt wird, was nicht vorgesehen/erwünscht ist. Auch kann die .EX_-Form vor Ausführen und damit vor Viren schützen.
English: Procedure for installing a CD driver for MS-DOS 6.22. To install Windows 95 via CD, a CD driver must be present and installed under MS-DOS. The driver is inserted into drive A via a 3.5" floppy disk. The style of the window is reminiscent of Windows 3.1 The input field is on the left, the buttons are on the right. Here you can see the file to be copied in the first line in the window, and the destination after copying the file in the second line. The visual element is a progress bar in combination with a percentage display. The original files on the floppy disk have a "garbled" file extension, where the last of the three letters is a _. This is probably to prevent accidentally running a file from the floppy, which is not intended/desired. Also, the .EX_ form can protect against execution and thus viruses.
