Deutsch: Vorderseite: Kopf des Königs Friedrich Wilhelm III. nach links. Darunter Signatur der Prägefirma und des Medailleurs G LOOS DIR C VOIGT FEC.

Rückseite: Ein dichter Eichenlaubkranz, oben und unten mit über Kreuz gelegtem Band gebunden, umschließt ein leeres, für eine Widmung vorgesehenes Feld.

Kommentar: Die Gravierung der Stempel der Preismedaille der Berliner Universität, gestiftet 1826, wurde von der Prägefirma Loos dem Medailleur Carl Friedrich Voigt übertragen. Beauftragt zur Herstellung hatte das Ministerium der geistlichen, Unterrichts- und Medizinalangelegenheiten. 1826 wurden erste Exemplare in Gold ausgeprägt. Den Prämierten war es möglich, sich aus sozialen Gründen anstelle der goldenen Auszeichnung ein Ersatzexemplar in Bronze zu wählen und den Wert der Goldmedaille auszahlen zu lassen.
