English: Woodham Fen. This is Woodham Fen an SSSI and Ramsar site of international importance http://www.jncc.gov.uk/page-161 . Its significance is that it is one of the few remaining places where saltmarsh blends naturally into dry grassland. Owned by South Woodham Ferrers Council it is managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust http://www.essexwt.org.uk/ . Eleven species of Dragonfly and eight rare species of spider may be found on the reserve.
