Second Cabinet, 1919-20;Editor X-ray, 1920-21 ; State Scholar-ship, iQi8-2i; F. L. E.s Shu hails from the Southwest where thegrass grows blue, moonshiners grow wealthy, and men grow large. To hear his voice ona victrola one would think he was a six-footer, but in reality he is one of the ban-tams of the class ; small in stature, light inweight, a heavy thinker, a good author, anexcellent student when he feels so inclined. While giving much of his time to the X-raythis year, it is hinted that he still finds timeto entertain the ladies, spend a few nightsout each week, and tliat he is not a rookiewhen it comes to African Golf. To see his studious face, dignified walkand scholarly air about college and then toget a little of his history about town, onewould be surprised. Everyone hopes thatShu will be as popular as an M. D. as he hasbeen with his class.40
Text Appearing After Image:
ALPHENO LAFAYETTE STRATFORDRichmond, Va. Strat Phi Chi; Richmond College; In-terne Bellevue Hospital, N. Y. City,August, September and December,1920. Although A. L. made his first appearancein Richmond, he soon tired of the slow-going city and journeyed northward to en-joy the fast moving crowds and the big citylights, as well as the foot lights. After as-suring himself he could make a living on hisfeet, he returned to Richmond to study medi-cine as a pastime. Such a divine singer, alovely dancer, an accurate seamstress andwonderful cook would make any lady anideal husband, but ah, girls stand back ereyou suffocate in the rush. At M. C. V. Alhas made a creditable record. Someone isalways seeking his services and the latest ofthese is the X-Ray. He really has little timefor study, but regardless bats the prof, forbig numbers. He intends to land in thetown of New York, and if he meets with thesuccess that we hope for him, the villagewill long remember A. L. HARRY ALDEN WALLNorfolk, Va.
