Should Bahrain not be yellow rather than green? There have been protests there after all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.26.212.72 (talk) 20:57, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Note that these are not Arab countries, play no role in the current protests, and hence don't really belong on this map. Peter G Werner (talk) 22:56, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Both countries are part of the Arab League and have the Arabic language as a co-official language. ]
I see. Its based on a map of Arab League countries. Now it makes sense. I did not know about Somalia and Djibouti being members. Peter G Werner (talk) 22:38, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New Map

Why was the map changed? The old map was fine. Now you can't see Gaza and can barely make out Bahrain.

Iran

Iran, while not a part of the Arab world, is experiencing protests and unrest. Maybe it could be shown in stripes? --76.103.156.234 (talk) 01:05, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd support this, since Iran is on the map anyway. --Roentgenium111 (talk) 14:45, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I would say it should be in yellow, categorized as "minor protests", but even if it's not, there should be something to indicate its involvement. --Muboshgu (talk) 16:01, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Iran should not be included in this map. Iran is not an Arab country, and the Iranian protests are nothing news, they started in 2009. Kurdo777 (talk) 16:24, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Iran will not be included: because Iran is not part of "

Countries

I suggest include a list of the countries. --147.84.132.44 (talk) 14:38, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BAHRAIN!?????????

THOUGH IT LOOOKS TOO TINY TO BE OTHERWISE......MAKE BAHRAIN NOTICEABLE AS A MAJOR PROTEST ZONE!!!!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pranav21391 (talkcontribs) 17:19, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

South Sudan

Why is South Sudan included within this "Arab world" protests map? Wasn't that why they voted for independence in the first place? Chupu (talk) 03:16, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, however South Sudan is in transition to independence and is not independent yet, so that is why it is on the map... Maybe it would make sense to have a dashed line showing the border... - Kylelovesyou (talk) 17:18, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Senegal needs to be added

Senegal should be in blue. Man sets himself on fire in front of Presidential Palace in Senegal - http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/02/18/AR2011021801835.html - Kylelovesyou (talk) 16:19, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Western Sahara

I don't feel it's good to draw the "Maroccan Walls" in the territory of the Western Sahara. For a similar reason as with Sudan: It is no de facto border. --Elllit (talk) 14:55, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
