Permission

@Kieronoldham: Can you cite a VRT ticket to support the claim that permission has been given by the copyright holder, please? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:59, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I hope this isn't going where you may have decided it to go (please forgive me if I'm wrong there). The license for this extensively used (lower quality) online image is not "unacceptable" as it is a historical portrait of a person no longer alive in addition to also being the object of discussion within the article. The image was uploaded to the top of the article. The automated tag which appears (and which I assume is the primary source of your concern, Andy) was used "in conjunction with another non-free use image tag" as is within the Licensing section. I have added a "detailed non-free use rationale for each use, as well as the source of the work and copyright information" but will be happy to expand further if you wish.--Kieronoldham (talk) 04:04, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Kieronoldham: You have said that permission has been given by the copyright holder. That is the only aspect I have queried. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:43, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
