This map is terribly inaccurate

Um, this map is wrong. Archaeological evidence shows West Africa (and also North Africa!) was smelting Iron by 1000 BC. If you want you can change the date to 3000 BC, otherwise you're just plain wrong.

west africa Iron Smelting in 1000 BC either never happined in real life or it has been omited from the historical records but it is known that around the time of the roman empire in 100 BC there was a small tribe called nok that was smelting Iron. the nok were eventually to become the proto-bantu culture. so provide a sourced refrence for this claim of iron smelting in west africa in 1000 BC and dont try include phonecian places like tunisha or algeria thats not west africa thats north africa. provide sources for these outlandish claims then we can all learn history together. 99.164.108.120 (talk) 21:37, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I find it incredibly odd that, for Zhou-era China, Wu is included but Yue is not (perhaps the area inhabited by Thais is meant to be Yue). Also, Wu and Yue are more associated with the Spring and Autumn period of Zhou history, several hundred years after the date on this map, but still in the Zhou dynasty. In addition to this, why would one separate Wu from the rest of the Zhou dynasty, but then have the other states at the time conglomerated into one "Zhou Dynasty" state? Seems strange to me.

balkan region

the balkan region looks filled with inacuracy there was a tribe called Dorians in the albania and Macedon region. and by macedon i mean both parts of it northen greece and F.Y.R.O.M. (modern macedonia) the point is the dorian invasion of southern greece happened about 1230 BC and there were still some dorians living in the macedon-albania region. or did the dorians left behind in dorian homeland have to convert to illyrians?

what about the dacians? they were a proto-romanian people yet there is no mention of them on this map. it is quite unlikely that the thracians ruled both thrace and dacia around 1000bc. and where or when did the scythians apear? someone needs to come along and clear this up and discuss 1000 BC balkans history with me and tell me if this map is wrong or not other wise im in the dark and will never know the warm glow of the light of truth. 99.164.108.120 (talk) 21:31, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
