François Audouy (French:

Ford v Ferrari (2019) which was nominated for several Academy Awards including Best Picture.[1] He also designed the Mangold film A Complete Unknown
, which is currently in production.

In addition to his film career, Audouy has designed many award-winning commercials and music videos;[2] including music videos for Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, P!nk, Harry Styles, Camila Cabello and Dua Lipa.[3]

Early life

Audouy was born in Toulouse, France, to a French father and an English mother.[4] He is a bilingual speaker of French and English.

He moved to Southern California at the age of six after his parents divorced and his mother remarried.[5]

Career

At the age of 21, Audouy was discovered by production designer Bo Welch who recruited him as a graphic designer and illustrator for the film Men in Black. At the time, he was one of the first all-digital concept artists working in the field.[6] He continued to work behind the scenes in art departments of many notable films including Spider-Man, Zodiac, Minority Report and Avatar, until becoming an art director, and eventually a production designer.[7]

Awards

As a production designer, Audouy has won four Art Directors Guild production design awards including the ADG's first-ever award bestowed to a music video, at their 26th Annual awards show.
