Gheorghe "Gigi" Staicu (18 December 1935 – 10 June 2021) was a Romanian professional

Ștefan Kovacs and was for years the manager of the Olympic team.[3]

Late years and death

In 2007, Staicu retired from football and since 2012 he was hospitalized in an asylum for the elderly, suffering from Alzheimer's disease.[1][4] He died on 10 June 2021, at the age of 85.[5]
