As a true freshman at LSU in 2017, Delpit played in all 13 games with 10 starts, recording 60 tackles and one interception.2020 NFL Draft.[6]

Delpit was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round with the 44th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.[8] He suffered an Achilles tendon tear during training camp that required surgery, which ended his rookie season.[9] He was placed on the injured reserve list on August 25, 2020.[10]
In Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens, Delpit recorded his first career interception off of Lamar Jackson in the 16-10 loss.[11]
On December 11, 2023, Delpit signed a three-year extension with the Browns worth $36 million.
