Hoyt Hilsman was raised in
Career
He began his writing career in New York as a playwright and journalist, and later moved to Los Angeles where he wrote screenplays for studios and television networks, including New Line, Disney, Sony, CBS and ABC. His original television pilot, Foggy Bottom, based on his childhood in Washington, was honored at the Slamdance Film Festival.[8] His plays have been produced in the US and abroad and have won numerous awards.
He has been a regular theater and television critic for Daily Variety and a regular contributor to national newspapers and magazines, including

Personal life
Hilsman is married to the painter Nancy Kay Turner.[7] They have one son, Michael Hilsman, who is an artist in New York.[16][17]
