Jameson is a village in Daviess County, Missouri, United States. The population was 73 at the 2020 census.[4]

History

Jameson was originally named Feurt Summit, and under the latter name was laid out in 1871.[5] A post office called Jameson has been in operation since 1871.[6]

Geography

Jameson is located at 40°0′19″N 93°59′12″W / 40.00528°N 93.98667°W / 40.00528; -93.98667 (40.005372, -93.986538).[7]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.22 square miles (0.57 km2), all land.[8]

The average household size was 2.66 and the average family size was 3.19.

The median age in the village was 35.5 years. 34.6% of residents were under the age of 18; 3.1% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24.9% were from 25 to 44; 26.4% were from 45 to 64; and 11.3% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the village was 46.6% male and 53.4% female.

The average household size was 2.14 and the average family size was 2.54.

In the town the population was spread out, with 20.0% under the age of 18, 20.0% from 18 to 24, 21.7% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 15.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 71.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 71.4 males.
