Bastiat was born in
Grand Slam in the 1977 Five Nations Championship. The next year he captained France replacing the retired Jacques Fouroux.[1] He retired in 1978 due to a knee injury.[1] In total, Bastiat made 32 appearances for France between 1969 and 1978.[1]
He died on 3 February 2021, following a stroke.[2]
