John K. Collum (June 29, 1926 — August 28, 1962) was an American child actor. He appeared in many Our Gang films of the 1930s as the character Uh-Huh.

Career

Born in

Chicago, Illinois, Collum was the son of Hal Roach's casting director, Joseph Collum. He first appeared in the 1932 short, A Lad an' a Lamp. He was never a regular cast member and portrayed a character named Uh-Huh. Uh-Huh answered most of his questions with a drawn-out "Uh-huuuuuh". After 1933, Collum was used as an extra whenever a large group of children was needed. He appeared in many films from 1934 to 1938. His final appearance in the Our Gang series is in the 1938 short Three Men in a Tub
