Jonathan Uptin (born 18 October 1971) is an Australian journalist. He is currently a weeknight sport presenter on Nine News Queensland.[1]

Career

Uptin has worked across Australia on a number of different platforms. After completing a communications degree at the

Prime Television
and radio station 2GZ.

Uptin then joined the

NBN
Television in Newcastle.

In 2000, he returned to Darwin and was appointed weeknight presenter of

Weekend Today
program.

In January 2023, Uptin was appointed as weeknight sport presenter on Nine News Queensland, replacing Wally Lewis who stepped down due to health reasons.[3] His weekend news presenting role was subsequently taken over by Mia Glover.[4]
