Kattupakkam has a number of temples, mosques and churches. The Sri Vada Chendur Murugan Temple at Kattupakkam is one of the oldest Hindu temples built in the city.^{[citation needed]} Pillayar Kovil on the Sendurpuram Main Road is another old temple.
