officer.

Military career

Educated at

Prince of Wales' Division in 1976 and General Officer Commanding Wales in 1980 before retiring in 1983.[3]

In 1959 he married Jennifer Dawn Wilson; they had one son and two daughters.[1] In retirement he was chairman of the Central Rail Users' Consultative Committee.[4]

He died on 21 July 2020 at the age of 92.[5]
