Phillip Michael Marvin (October 5, 1955 – March 6, 2017) was an American professional football player who was a guard for the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers.
Career
After attending the
Washington Redskins in Super Bowl XVIII, rushing for a 231 yards and passing for 172 yards, as Marvin outmuscled the opposing defensive tackle, All-Pro Dave Butz
.
Marvin died from
amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, at the age of 61.[2]
