The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a cabinet ministry of Liberia responsible for directing Liberia's external relations and the management of its international diplomatic missions. The ministry is located in Monrovia, Liberia's capital.[1][2]
History
The modern Liberian state was established by former

Between 1848 and 1981, every Foreign Minister (formerly "Secretary of State") came from Montserrado County, Liberia's most populous county.[5][7] The first individual to fill the post from outside of Montserrado was H. Boimah Fahnbulleh, Jr., who was originally from Grand Cape Mount County.[5]
