Multipurpose Transaction Protocol (MTP) software is a
transport protocol (OSI Layer 4) developed and marketed by Data Expedition, Inc. (DEI). DEI claims that MTP offers superior performance and reliability when compared to the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) transport protocol.[1]
