Nishan Randhawa (born 5 December 1997)

Canadian freestyle wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in men's 97 kg event at the 2023 Pan American Games held in Santiago, Chile.[2]

Career

He participated in the 2022 Commonwealth Games[3] in the wrestling competition, being awarded the gold medal in the men's freestyle 97 kg event.[4][5]

He competed in the 97 kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia.[citation needed]

In 2024, he competed at the Pan American Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Acapulco, Mexico hoping to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.[6] He was eliminated in his first match.[6]

Personal life

Randhawa is of Punjabi descent.[7]
