The Southern Mountain Region (

Central Mountain Range (Albanian: Krahina Malore Qendrore).[1][6]

The range notably includes two mountain chains: the

precipitation for November through January is 1,000 mm.[7]

In

prominence of 1,792 m (5,879 ft), it is the 44th most prominent mountain peak in Europe.[8]
The mountain is very steep and is characterized by its steep cliffs, which falls impressively on the Vjosë. Other peaks include Maja e Gatakut 2,269 m (7,444 ft), Maja e Qesarit 2,253 m (7,392 ft), and Maja e Poliçanit 2,138 m (7,014 ft).
