#REDIRECT List of animals that are extinct in the wild#Reptiles
if you're thinking of merging this page with extinct reptiles page, don't. because you should realize that those are two different things and that this page is specifically for reptiles who are only alive in captivity and have living specimens in captivity but no living specimens in the wild. excluding the Cuban crocodile who has living relatives on the Isle of youth and the reason I've included it with the page is because there's only 5-10 left on the island
If you're wondering about the Pinta Island tortoise, the last one of it's kind was held in captivity, it even went so far as to be considered the world's rarest animal by GWR (Guinness World Records). the last male Pinta Island tortoise lonesome George, died in captivity in 2012.
