Mirza grew up in Kushtia.[2] She earned a master's degree from the Department of Theatre from the University of Dhaka.[3]

Mirza debuted her acting career in 1991 with the theatre troupe Desh Natok.[4] Her first performance in television drama was in Shukher Nongor, directed by Saidul Anam Tutul, in 1997.[2][5]

Mirza is the anchor of the television show Ekattorer Shokal of Ekattor TV.[6] She performed in Tanvir Mokammel's directorial venture Rabeya (2009).[4]

Mirza was elected the programme secretary for the Film Artistes' Association.[6] In 2016, she joined the marketing sector of Bangla Tribune.[7]
