Parsi social reformer K.N. Kabra was famous for editing progressive newspaper Rast Goftar. Stribodh was established and firstly edited by him in 1857 in Bombay (now Mumbai).[3][4] It was one of the earliest magazines directed towards the women readers.[5] It was later edited by Sirin and Piroja Kabra who were daughters of K.N. Kabra.[4]
The magazine was disestablished in 1952.[6]
