SQL is currently frustrated and may be unresponsive to certain discussions.

Like the first half of this year, I'm posting some basic details on how I use the checkuser tool. This is based on running regular a series of regular expressions over the CU log, and might not be accurate. Some items are probably not optimally named.

I used the checkuser tool 209 times in July.

In July, I used the tool in the following modes:

• In 'ipedits' mode 158 times.
• In 'userips' mode 50 times.
• In 'ipusers' mode 0 times.
• In 'useredits' mode 1 times.
• In 'investigate' mode 0 times.

These are the aggregate reasons for using it (Keep in mind that one investigation often involves more than one check):

• Unblock-related: 156 times.
• SPI case: 29 times.
• LTA related: 14 times.
• Block evasion: 10 times.

If a CU is interested in how they use the tool, leave me a message, or email me.

I will not automate this script, or release the source code. I will not release data for others usage of the tool for any reason other than a direct request - and even then, only by email, directly to the cu making the request.

I am coming here in spite of our mutual requests for non-contact (see permalink to our exchange on my talk), because I have new information which makes the situation more serious than I thought.

I was curious about the origin of TRM's comment that they were advised of by a third party. So I went to TRM's talk page to see if there was any trace of this "advice", and I found this discussion: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:The_Rambling_Man&oldid=1037662900#Bot

The instigator of that discussion was Aussie Article Writer (talk · contribs), who has edited under several other accounts, most recently as Chris.sherlock (talk · contribs). This person has long-term severe mental health problems which he has well-publicised, and which he has repeatedly abused as an excuse for sustained and horrible misconduct going back nearly a decade, which has driven away several very productive admins. As Chris.sherlock, he was subject to a one-way IBAN with me, after he pursued a huge vendetta against me because I stepped in to challenge his savage vendetta against @DuncanHill.

In July 2011, Chris.sherlock in his new guise as Aussie Article Writer, opened made a very poorly-framed request to have his one-way IBANs with me and @DuncanHill upgraded to 2-way, on the grounds that we had been making nasty false statements about him last year. However, one of the arbs pointed out that the statements were actually true, and someone else noted that it was last year ... so it went nowhere. Here is the Arbitration request, with all discussion before it was removed.

I was unware of this until now, but you should have been aware of it earlier because you should have visited TRM's talk to ask TRM to stop trolling a BRFA discussion to which he has made no attempt to add anything substantive, and to seek clues who put him up to this disruption.

If you had, you would probably have noticed as I did that Aussie Article Writer is now blocked, for violation of the IBAN: see the discussion at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Aussie_Article_Writer&oldid=1037669432#August_2021. Note that he even continues his smear campaign in response to being blocked, and that he had even trolled my draft ANI in 5 edits, which I was unaware of until now.

In other words, I was not only trolled by TRM, but that was part of IBAN-violating shit-stirring by a long-term menace who has pursued numerous highly-destructive vendettas and was banned for years. It's probably a very long shot to hope that you might understand why I feel so aggrieved that you repeatedly reproach only me, but I am now even more firmly of the view that you were engaged in harassment and victimisation of me, by enabling a troll who now turns out to have been in cahoots with one of en.wp's most destructive characters. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 04:51, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how many more times I need to explain that I collapsed the argument on that page with a note asking both parties to knock it off. The other party did, you did not. That's why I reached out to ask you to stop.

Actually, you re-collapsed a section which the troll had uncollapsed after I collapsed it; and throughout you have entirely ignored the simple fact the only comments TRM made at BRFA have been trolling. Your "both parties" language erases the fact that this is all me trying to deal with TRM trolling again. You reproached me for responding to the trolling, but you didn't reproach the troll ... and your failure to even acknowledge that the troll was working with an IBANned editor is hardly upholding

After you going several rounds at me, I place no value on your claim that I am harassing you. I am asking you do do your job as an admin properly and to try to correct your errors rather than just complain that they have been identified.

My allegation of harassment was not unfounded. I get that you don't agree with it, but it was founded on the facts. And the background to it is a string of vicious personal attacks on me by TRM and AAW, about which you express no concern whatsoever.

I would very much have liked for you to leave me alone, but you didn't, and the background which I then uncovered horrifies me. If you want to take the matter to AN, then you are free to do so, but I will defend myself vigorously. I am annoyed about your conduct, but as I wrote above I will happily drop this if you stop repeating your bogus claims that you I made personal attacks on you.
