Sad loss

Someone who ventured into the realm - another highly competent, resourceful and productive editor of 13 years duration, who simply knew when it was time to go. A sad loss, and a very sadder loss for the Indonesian project here on wp en, very very sad when this happens. JarrahTree 02:03, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to see this, but I know exactly how you feel. Your focus was on content, mine was on policies, guidelines, and article quality control. Sooner or later, whatever one does here, something happens to spoil it. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:20, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oh man. Your absence from Wikipedia is going to lower the quality on this site. You will be missed dearly. GamerPro64 04:54, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Very sorry to see this notice.--S Philbrick(Talk) 18:06, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your work. Alanscottwalker (talk) 22:28, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for all of your contributions. I hope that the day will come when you will decide to return. Until then, be well. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 23:13, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Take care and good luck. Wikipedia can be fun but it doesn't put food on the table. If you get the urge, come back and you'll be welcomed. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 23:50, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Take care and good wishes. I hope you'll be back. --Titodutta (talk) 07:01, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What a pity! But wish you all the best. Awien (talk) 15:19, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hope You will be back after a hiatus. Wish you the best. --DBigXray 15:36, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Chris, my very best wishes, and thanks for your guidance over the years. I'm very sorry to see this, and hope your life brings you back this way again. Take care and enjoy the opportunities that are to come. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:23, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Best wishes for the future, Chris. You'll be missed. SarahSV (talk) 18:44, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

All my best wishes Chris. Graham Beards (talk) 10:15, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is indeed a terrible loss for all. I hope real life treats you well. Shyamal (talk) 15:27, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if you'll return to read this any time soon, but when you do: thanks for all your work, enjoy the toddler, and good luck with the PhD work. --Floquenbeam (talk) 16:16, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Final message

  • Xaos: do you seriously think five people I've known for five years (or more, in many cases) would all agree that I had asked for desysopping if my account had been compromised? Because of your unwillingness to handle a simple request, I've been forced to come back here. I wanted a clean break. Instead I am stuck with further proof that TRM is meddling in processes he has no idea about ("FIFO", "a bot could do it"... please, do handle the complaints when you have eight painting articles in a row, then nine different banknotes in the same series... and this after your "bot" puts together a one-sentence blurb that contains eight different titles for the same work) and have to waste more time on this site. It's a simple request: no mop for this account. If you can't handle that, I ask that you put yourself up for recall.  — Chris Woodrich (talk) 15:19, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • And to everyone else. Thanks for the wishes, I'm out.  — Chris Woodrich (talk) 15:20, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Most of your claims are incorrect here. I'm not "meddling" in any process, I reported an unverifiable blurb which was slated to go on the main page. What I said about the process was I that I "thought" FPs were run FIFO. I'm unclear where I said a bot should prepare the blurb (I work in a related industry, that approach is a bit of stretch). You're obviously very stressed about the fact that one single image was removed from the order (not by me) while its blurb and associated article were brought up to a minimum standard (which was well done as it happens). After all, my simple (optional) error report was simply raised for the benefit of the
readers. Goodbye and good luck. The Rambling Man (talk) 15:32, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply
