Sweet Life: Los Angeles is an American
HBO Max. In October 2021, it was renewed for a second season which premiered on August 4, 2022.[1][2][3] In December 2022, the series was canceled after two seasons.[4]
Background
Sweet Life was inspired by both the
Baldwin Hills.[5][6] The show follows a close group of African-American friends in their 20s, as they live their lives in South Los Angeles striving for "Black Excellence." The group is supportive of each other and their goals of chasing their dreams connect them.[7]

In 2022, the first season was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Reality Program, Reality Competition or Game Show, and a Guild of Music Supervisors Awards for Best Music Supervision in Reality Television.[9][10]
