According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

  • If you're referring to the fact that .au is one of only two top-level domains disambiguated in this manner, I'd like to point out that I could just as easily argue that Georgia (U.S. state) is mistitled based solely on Template:United States—perhaps more persuasively, as it's the only disambiguated state article, whereas there are two exceptions in your example. It would appear that .oz continues to exist as an OpenNIC TLD. See also http://wiki.opennicproject.org/OpenNICNamespaces . They document it as:

dot OZ is the TLD (Top Level Domain) custom made for Australians, but still available to everyone. dot OZ is targeted to those who may want a domain with the cultural association with Australia, but without the requirements of .com.au, net.au or org.au registrations.

What would be an appropriate way to include this information in Wikipedia? It's not part of the .au TLD, but it is a current TLD for Australians designed to take the place of the one that was migrated to .oz.au. Shamino (talk) 02:11, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
