Change 90min.com to 90min in article

Thanks to Huwmanbeing and Elli for moving this article to 90min. I noticed in a few places the article refers to 90min as 90min.com. Since the platform is solely referred to as 90min, I was hoping editors might be kind enough to change all references of 90min.com to 90min in alignment with WP:Commonname.

I won't make any edits myself because of my conflict of interest as an employee of Minute Media. I've got some other changes I hope to make to the article as well. If you're interested, I've uploaded a draft of what the article might look like here. Please let me know what you think! Update History section

Hello editors, I'm M and I work for Minute Media. I was hoping one of you might be kind enough to look over an update request for me. I reworked and updated the History section, which is proposed below. What I updated:

  • changed the present tense to past tense
  • added in a paragraph on Minute Media and partnerships.

History

90min was founded in late 2011, as FTBpro, by Yuval Larom, Asaf Peled, Gilad Beiman.

Cisco Systems for four years,[3] while Beiman was among the founders of the Israeli Web portal Tapuz.[1] The initial idea for the website came as the founders, all of them football fans, noticed that there was little investment in football-related start-ups.[4] Shortly after its establishment the company raised $300,000 by angel investors including Shahar Erez and Boaz Dinte.[1] In a second funding round in 2012 the company managed to raise $5.8 million from Battery Ventures and Gemini Israel Ventures, stating that the funding would be used for the geographic expansion of the company.[5][6]

Another $18 million were raised in 2014 by former investors Battery Ventures and Gemini Israel Ventures, as well as new investors including UK-based Dawn Capital.[7][8][9] The funding was to be used for expansion to new markets, for the opening of new offices in Southeast Asia, and for the enrichment of the site's video and mobile content.[7] Approaching the end of 2014 the website was renamed from FTBpro to 90min.[4] The last funding round ended in October 2015, and it raised a total of $15 million.[2][10] The round was led by German media company ProSiebenSat.1 Media, an investment that aimed toward the establishment of a joint venture targeting the German football market, also receiving funds from previous investors.[10] As of 2016, 90min was a subsidiary of Minute Media, along with other brands such as FanSided, 12Up, and Mental Floss.[11] Minute Media, a technology and content company,[12] entered into a joint venture with India's HT Media, in July of 2016. The partnership launched 90min in India, for football fans in South Asia.[13] In October 2017, 90min struck a deal with Sports Illustrated to provide video content for the latter's Planet Fútbol platform.[14] The Spanish-language version of the platform, Planeta Fútbol, was also included in the agreement. 90min also partnered with the platform SportsHero to provide football-related content.[15]

Update to Services section

Hello editors, I'm M and I work for Minute Media. I was hoping one of you might be kind enough to look over an update request I have for the Services section.

I have a proposed draft of the Services section in its entirety below. The additions I am requesting are highlighted in yellow and the deletions are highlighted with a strikethrough in red.

My request is mainly to update outdated information:

  • Please update that 90min is in 11 countries per 90min website (about)
  • Please delete the portion on citizen editors, 90min currently has an editorial team and journalists that create content.
  • Please remove the portion on contributor incentives and the publishing process, as it is outdated and not accurate.
  • Please delete a sentence with outdated information on the mobile app that cites a source that is no longer available
  • Below I reworked the office locations into the sentence with editorial staff locations
  • Please include 90min's new podcast, Football Americana

Services

90min has developed and provides an online platform that shares football related content for desktop and mobile devices,

slideshows, social round-ups and interactive polls as elements to create its articles.[2][3] There is content creation on the platform in 10 11 different languages, namely English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Turkish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian.[4] The mobile application offered on Google Play and Apple iTunes Store allows users to customise the news they are getting from the website, in a way that, for example, could focus on the user's favourite team.[5] The platform also allows football clubs to publish content from 90min on their websites.[6]

The platform follows the concept of

Kia Motors, and Heineken.[6][9]

90min announced a new

soccer player, Yael Averbuch West.[11]

Hello editors, I'm M and I work for Minute Media. I was hoping one of you might be kind enough to look over an update request I have for the Lead of this article.

I have a proposed draft of the Lead section in its entirety below. The additions I am requesting are highlighted in yellow and the deletions are highlighted with a strikethrough in red.

My request is mainly to update the Lead to follow suit with the changes and updates made to the 90min article recently.

90min is a technology-enabled football news platform, which produces Internet digital content covering various football leagues. The content offered by the platform is user-generated following the principles of citizen journalism. The content offered by the platform is created by a professional team of editors and on-the-ground journalists in Europe, Latin America, the United States, and Asia.[1] The first London based company website was launched in 2011 as FTBpro.com by Israel entrepreneurs Yuval Larom, Asaf Peled, and Gilad Beiman.

Hello M at MinuteMedia, are there any independent sources that can be used to verify this? On quick search, I was only able to pull out this 2016 link which only talks about "amateur sports writers" and "citizen journalists" and no mention of "professional editors".
I see that the text you've asked for already exists in a later section, but it stands without a citation as well. If it had one, or you can provide one (other than the company website), we should be able to add it to the lead section. Ptrnext (talk) 02:08, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ptrnext: I haven't been able to locate an independent source that mentions 90min employing professional editors, but that seems to me like something that should qualify as a "straightforward, descriptive statement of facts" that could use a primary source, unless I'm misinterpreting something. The team of professional editors that 90min employs is mentioned on the "About" page on the 90min website linked above. However, we can drop that if you don't feel it's a strong enough source!
