Category

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Categorization says "An article should not be in both a category and its subcategory, e.g. Microsoft Office is in Category:Microsoft software, so should not also be in Category:Software. ". Absorption band is assigned both Electromagnetism and Physics, I feel its redundant. Electromagnetism, Spectroscopy would be more appropriate.

Confusion with spectral line

There's some confusion between this article and spectral line, which has a lot of the same information without immediately diving into the quantum mechanical details. This whole article could be trimmed down and merged, as there is some seriously lacking info that is contained in spectral line that you wouldn't immediately get (e.g., the "fingerprinting" analogy) from a link here (as there was from Holmium#History, which I just redirected).
