vcclab and alogps sites are, in my opinion, little suspicious: adresses in numerical formats, many java applets offered on main pages, links to russian and ukrainian sites, standalone executables (trojan horses ? ;) ) available to download after registration (as it is said on the site, they are sent by e-mail after a few days)

--reply-- Solved -- no numerical addresses now. Also, if you afraid, just use programs on the site. This is the idea of the site: use the soft on the WWW. I have virus protection programs on the computer, thus a possibity to get one is minimized.

External links?

I think that the external links should be cleaned up some more... I removed the links for chemical suppliers, but I'm hesitant as to whether to remove the links to Orgsyn.org (which actually has nothing to do with a compound database) and some pieces of software to handle databases.

Perhaps it could be split into actual compound databases (such as ZINC), and programs that can handle querying the databases? Or perhaps those links could be placed in another article and referenced as a "See also" in here... Dockingman 03:49, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
