Travel bubble flights

Several flights to and from BOM are currently (October 2021) operated only under the air transport bubble program [1], but there does not appear to be agreement regarding the inclusion of these flights in the destination list. I believe we should seek consensus on this question instead of repeatedly adding and removing flights from the list.

WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT does not appear to contain a policy on travel bubble flights. At least some of the flights are operated on a regular schedule and are listed by airlines with no distinction to all other flights, suggesting that they should be included in the list. For instance, United Airlines flight to Newark is listed by the airline as any other flight would be [2], and appears to operate consistently every day [3]

Requested move 13 March 2023

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. After two relists, I do not see a strong policy based consensus against or for a move. (non-admin closure) {{ping|ClydeFranklin}} (t/c) 19:15, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Sources do use "Mumbai International Airport", but here are some that don't: The Print-[1], Zee News-[2] and [3], The Hindu Business Line-[4], The Economic Times (Travel World)-[5], CAPA [6], ch-aviation [7].Besides the proposed "Mumbai International Airport" would be very similar to "Navi Mumbai International Airport" leaving a certain degree of ambiguity to the title. The Google Ngram says that CSMIA is more popular (at least until 2019) [1] a quick google search for the current title brings up "58,20,000" results. Bingobro (Chat) 11:39, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also the proposer of the move says that Encyclopedia Brittanica can be used to verify the common name [2], which in this case uses CSMIA [3]Bingobro (Chat) 12:14, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strongly Oppose The airport's official name is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport; that name should remain in the Wikipedia article. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and should reflect official information, not colloquial terms people use. User:Yellow alligator 02:50, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
