Notability: Added some basic material about the program, and the following info regarding notability:

The primary publication has been cited in more than 1,750 independent scientific papers since 2004[11],
and as of September 2008 was one of the 20 most cited scientific papers published in the last 5 years
in any field of science[12].

I've probably overdone this last part: note in particular that the Scopus link will no longer show the current coot paper after 1/1/2009. I've left the 'Notability' banner for futher review. --Kevin Cowtan (talk) 15:23, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Given the huge number of independent citations mentioned above, I don't really see how there can be any argument concerning the notability of Coot according to the guidelines here ("significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject"), so having left the notability banner in place for review for 1 month I have now removed it. --Kevin Cowtan (talk) 10:44, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
