FatFace is a fast-growing lifestyle clothing and accessories retailer, based in the UK.

Having started in 1988 as a business selling t-shirts and sweatshirts in the Alps, we are now one of the UK’s most recognised multi-channel retail brands stocking a wide range of womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, footwear, and accessories, all designed in-house at our headquarters in Havant, Hampshire.

There are currently 208 FatFace stores in the UK and Ireland - located in market towns, holiday locations, high street shopping centres and high footfall travel hubs – and we continue to roll out more. Together with an established and growing multi-channel offer, our aim is to make the FatFace brand as accessible as possible for our growing base of customers, in the UK and internationally.

FatFace was acquired by private equity group Bridgepoint in 2007.

It was founded in 1988 by Tim Slade and Jules Leaver as a business selling T-shirts at ski resorts.[2][3] The company opened its first retail shop in 1993; as of 2014 there were 209 Fat Face stores in the UK and Ireland.[4][1] New - FatFace is a British lifestyle brand, based in Hampshire, which creates product ranges across women's, men's, kids, footwear and accessories. FatFace is a multichannel retailer, with an international digital business as well as over 180 stores in the UK, 20 stores in the US and an engaged social community.

On 25th September 2020, FatFace announced the completion of a lender led debt and capital restructuring of Fat Face Group Borrowings Limited (the "Fat Face Group"). Following the restructuring there was a change of control of the parent company of the Fat Face Group ("Fat Face" or "Company"), to Fulham Parent Limited. As a result of the restructuring, FatFace's ownership has changed hands from its majority shareholder, Bridgepoint, to the group's lenders through its newly formed parent company. As part of the restructure the debt profile of the Group significantly reduced, from loans and borrowings (excluding lease liabilities) with a face value of £172.4m at the completion date, to £25.6m at the period end with expiry dates between September 2023 and May 2024.

The Chief Executive is Will Crumbie, who was promoted to the role in January 2022. He was previously CFO and has been at the company since 2014, during which he has overseen all key operational areas of the business, including its supply chain and IT. Prior to FatFace, he held senior financial and executive positions within the Walgreen Boots Alliance Group & P&O. Crumbie replaced former Chief Executive Liz Evans. In 2020 FatFace hired Colin Porter to take on the role of non-executive chairman; Porter replaced Stuart Rose who stepped down after seven years in the role when the retailer completed its refinancing under new owners. Porter was chairman of tailoring specialist Moss Bros from 2019 to 2020, and before that was CEO of Joules for 10 years. He is also currently non-executive chairman of British lifestyle brand Emma Bridgewater.
