While it was commonly believed for a very long time that Hatice Sultan and Ibrahim Pasha married in 1524, recent research has shown that this was not the case, and that it was nothing more than a myth propagated from one historian to the next without anyone having bothered to fact-check it. It's now accepted by Ottomanist historians that Ibrahim Pasha married another woman, Muhsine Hatun, and not Hatice Sultan. I've edited the article to reflect this.
