Request to remove COI tag

I'm requesting a removal of the COI tag as the information that I've updated was written in an unbiased way. The materials that were updated include programming updates of what the station is currently airing, and staff that are on the air, and what the current positioning statement of the station is. I attempted to update the logo in the infobox but it was rejected. I will provide the new one here once I've got a chance to upload the full size version.

This information can be verified with our website: https://b1047.com/ StevenAtKMAN (talk) 13:55, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Done I've removed the tag along with all of the unsourced text. Please do not add back details without appropriate sources for verification. ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:52, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jeff G.: Putting this on your radar, since you added the COI tag. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:53, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request Edit: Add Information

Since I'm a COI, I'm requesting that the following changes be made to this article. Each source is indicated at the end of each paragraph. If you need any clarification, or a different kind of sources please let me know, I'd be happy to provide it.

"The station went on the air as KTDF on May 3, 1990. On September 30, 1994, the station changed its call sign to the current KXBZ. At the time, it was the third station to be part of Manhattan Broadcasting Company." (Current FCC filing currently no longer reflects the call sign change. SOURCE)

Done Inserted into introductory paragraph. Duke Gilmore (talk) 13:16, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The station's original logo featured a grinning, guitar-strumming yellow jacket, and featured the station's original positioning statement "Today's Hot New Country". In 1999, a new logo was created, featuring "B104.7" and the new positioning statement was shortened to "Hot Country". In 2016, the station rolled out a new website and began calling itself "Today's Hit Country". In 2021 the station updated it's positioning statement to "THE Country Station", then to it's current "Manhattan's Hometown Country Station". B104.7 has consistently ruled the country airwaves in the Manhattan/Junction City/Wamego area, and along with sister stations KMAN, KMKF, KACZ, and KBLS makes up the Top 5 of the rankings for its demographic." (Positioning statement is listed in the tab: SOURCE Rankings info: SOURCE )

"Currently, the weekday programming schedule features:

The Morning Buzz with Corey Dean (6a-10a), Middays with Chris Swick (10 am – 2 pm),

Afternoons with Mike (2–7 pm), and Nights with Kristen. (7–12 pm).

On Sundays, B104.7 airs the "American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks", along with a locally produced show "Red Dirt Road with Chris and Kristen" (10p-Mid). In addition, B104.7 also airs high school football on Friday nights during the fall." (On Air Now section of homepage: SOURCE)

Manhattan Broadcasting owns 5 stations: KXBZ (B104.7 – mainstream country), KMAN (1350 AM – news, talk, sports), KACZ (Z96.3 - Top 40), KMKF (101.5 K-Rock – active rock), and KBLS (Sunny 102.5 - Adult Contemporary). Sunny was purchased from Alpha Media in February 2017, giving Manhattan Broadcasting an even wider reach and more dominance in the Salina/Manhattan market. MBC also has an expanding digital production department, and dominates the Arbitron rankings in Riley, Geary, and Pottawatomie counties." (Sunny [KBLS] purchase: SOURCE)

The Sales Manager at MBC is Andrea Besthorn. Mitch Fortner, is the Sports Director. Chris Swick serves as the station's Program Director." SOURCE
