The result of the move request was: not moved. Consensus that the disambiguation is currently unnecessary, as the other populated places named "Macedonia, Georgia" do not have Wikipedia articles. (Consequently, if Macedonia, Miller County, Georgia or Macedonia, Towns County, Georgia ever become the subject of an article, this question will likely need to be revisited.) I might have agreed with you if there was an actual existing Wikipedia article on the Georgia–Macedonia football sports rivalry, similar to the other articles in Category:International association football rivalries.
