A good effort/first pass. It just needs some grammar correction, as the original writer is clearly not a native english speaker.

The article needs alternate references because, thus far, it reads like yet another ‘black legend’... this time denouncing the tragedy of a mulatto against a Mantuan elite headed by a megalomaniac (i.e. Simon Bolivar), who ended up martyrizing him.

Current scholarship has debunked this interpretation and proven, after copious research, that Piar was not the victim of a white elite conspiracy. Modern academic sources have, in fact, found sufficient basis to determine that Piar began an uprising, a rebellion, that risked sparking a civil war between republicans.

I recommend removing this article until the author consults alternate sources so we can be presented with a more balanced interpretation.
