Strengths

This site on Wikipedia provides useful and detailed information about MyRepublic which is a little known company in Singapore. We can also see how MyRepublic has grown in her short history since 2011. It is also well-referenced with links to its official website for more information regarding MyRepublic's plans and such. Internal links to other articles on Wikipedia can also be found if we have any questions on what some of the terms are. The references are all secondary sources which is what Wikipedia expects of its articles and there are a lot of them which shows that extensive research has been done on the company. Headings and sub-headings were also displayed appropriately so that readers could find the information that they are looking for effectively. The group also found the market share of MyRepublic in Singapore which was very useful as it explains why so many of us have never heard of it before, and probably because it serves New Zealand too. Overall, an interesting and informative article which captures essential information of a not very well-known telecom company in Singapore.

Areas for Improvement

However, the article could have been added to a category such as telecommunication companies on Wikipedia so that users searching for telecommunication companies in Singapore will not miss out on MyRepublic. Information could also be provided on where the headquarters are in Singapore or where their shops can be found, if any. Addition of infrastructure information could be good too. The group could have uploaded a picture of MyRepublic’s logo or the picture of their headquarters so that we know how it looks like because it is a telecom company which most of us have never heard of. More information could be given about its products and services, if there were any more. The group could have indicated that this page was an educational assignment by adding the educational assignment in the talk page of the article so as to inform other editors.

Information to be added: Insert a New Sub-Section: Licensing of Platform & Operating Playbooks to Operators

MyRepublic licenses its proprietary carrier IT system and operating playbooks into telecom operators in Indonesia and Brunei. In Sept 29, 2020, it was reported that MyRepublic guided the transformation of Brunei's largest mobile operator through an infrastructure carveout. As part of that project, MyRepublic deployed its carrier IT system under a multi-year licensing arrangement, with the MyRepublic teams working alongside the teams in Brunei to improve their end-to-end sales, marketing, and operations processes.

FabesLau, Do you have a source that isn't a press release? I'll need to clean up the language, but we need a third-party source for this to get added. All I see are sources about investment? Also, we should rewite with the actual name of the operator, instead of just stating that it's the fifth largest. --FeldBum (talk) 17:48, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay. Most of this seems ok (Although I'd like a second opinion), but I have a few problems with some of the text, which seems kinda advertise-y. Please rewrite these to be more neutral, and look over all of your writing and avoid close paraphrasing as I've seen an instance or 2 of that.

Feels like an advertisement

Even with all my deletions, I still feel this article reads like a huge advertisement and needs a lot of work. I think it's something to do with the way it's written, it isn't written like articles of other companies. Ethoori (talk) 07:01, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
