Nielsen Sweeps are ceased: info needs rework.

This suite of pages has a long on-going listing of Nielsen Sweeps Periods. The reader can notice that there are no dates listed "yet" for the 2020-2021 TV season. For example the Fall 2020 Sweep would normally now be running for the four weeks directly before Thanksgiving Day, October 29 to November 25, 2020. But I noticed the whole row is missing for 2020-2021.

Some initial web-level investigation appears to reveal that "Nielsen Sweeps" periods have ceased. Some conscientious Wikipedia editor contributor (with more experience & gumption & know-how than me) would serve the system well to rework & update the encyclopedia's description of "sweeps" with proper authority.

I am only citing here below the reference that satisfied my curiosity about the "Fall 2020 Sweeps" dates being missing in the wikipedia table. The Sweeps are ceased, according to the site cited. But whether that site is sufficiently canonical [authoritative] is a potential dispute beyond my reckoning. Maybe better sites can be found, such webpages related to this URL::

BUT, as it stands, indications are that Wikipedia is significantly outdated here. The help of a brave soul to make the proper adjustments in the table and concomitant verbiage would be glorious!

Nielsen Survey Dates

Nielsen retired the diary methodology in July 2018, and all Nielsen local markets are now measured year round. As a result, there are no longer only special “Sweeps” months. Instead, there are now twelve survey periods and all months are measured the same way.

Radio ratings

Nielsen also does radio ratings. Should this be included in the article? --SVTCobra 01:21, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
