Request edit on 13 March 2022

  • What I think should be changed:

Infobox

  • Why it should be changed:

Reinstate situation before changes made on 13.03.2022

  • References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button):

The information shown in the infobox up to the recent changes corresponds to the situation at the time of the creation of this page. The person indicated as responsible was at the time the executor of Erich Engelbrecht's estate and therefore the "Director" of this exhibition. After 2018, no other responsible person has been appointed. No new director has been appointed since 2018. In addition, this long-term exhibition is divided into two groups, the interior exhibition consisting of a personal loan from Waltraud Engelbrecht and other private collectors.

The main reason for not accepting the change is to prevent disguised commercial exploitation of the exhibition by the nominated association, which demands a financial contribution from third parties wishing to visit the site. A monetary benefit that is not transmitted to the heirs of Erich Engelbrecht.

It would not be possible for persons who have not collaborated with the artist or his wife, to present the information available on this page, which contains mainly elements from my personal archive about the artist. FYI, I am not Erich Engelbrecht's heir but as a connoisseur of his work, I simply contribute voluntarily to the information about it. The time I have spent in creating and maintaining this page, as well as processing information about the work of Erich Engelbrecht, has been benevolent work, as well as that of other people who are not heirs, but who appreciate and admire the work of this artist.

For this reason, both I and all these voluntary contributors disagree with the change in the infobox.

There is no problem with the elimination of "director" at the infobox.
Regarding the insufficient sources, it is not understandable, because the information presented in the text is also visible in the sources indicated below, whether books published by third parties, catalogues, press articles, etc. Jjdeav (talk) 17:53, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Inline citations are preferred where possible, especially when specific passages of an article are under dispute. That's because an inline citation to a specific page of a book placed directly next to the supported content makes verifying a much easier task. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:42, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply

Notability

"It would not be possible for persons who have not collaborated with the artist or his wife, to present the information available on this page, which contains mainly elements from my personal archive about the artist." This rings alarm bells, Wikipedia cannot accept content from your personal archive, all content requires independent, reliable sources. Theroadislong (talk) 16:42, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The information - text and tables - is publicly available in editions of books on Erich Engelbrecht published by others and also in press articles about him.
Some of these publications are referenced in sources. Jjdeav (talk) 17:50, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Inline citations would help. Theroadislong (talk) 17:55, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
From printed papers? Jjdeav (talk) 17:57, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As long as they have been published. Theroadislong (talk) 17:59, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Two books are indicated at "Further reading" and at least one press article on "External links" Jjdeav (talk) 18:07, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"...with written contributions from Waltraud Engelbrecht, Renate Vogt, Dr, Gottfried Knapp and an interview with Hans-Jürgen Vogt, a longtime friend and patron..." That's possibly not as "independent" as sought by
WP:AfD, not here. As you have created the article, you'd be notified about such a discussion on your talk page, and you'd have about one week to join the discussion while it runs. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:48, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply
