Change to prose

This section was out of date and the formatting did not make sense, considering how often this information changes. Converted to prose. Accountmetric (talk) 17:48, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Wikipedia community. I am disclosing my conflict of interest and messaging as a spokesperson for Vista Equity Partners. I would like to request the following edits to the information box on our page:

  1. Could someone please update the logo? we have a new logo that can be found here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Vista_Equity_Partners_logo_2.svg
  2. We would like to change the industry from "private equity" to "asset management"
  3. Can we add the following "products" to the infobox: "private equity" "asset management"
  4. Could someone change the number of employees in the infobox to “75,000+ (2021)." Here are sources:
  5. Can we also add the number of assets under management? As stated on our website, we have over $94 million assets under management [Source: Vista Equity Partners] We realize some sources give different numbers (Bloomberg, PE Hub) but $94 million+ is the most accurate.

Hello, I've updated the logo. For #2, most reliable sources describe Vista as a private-equity firm, so will skip this one. For #4, we should be listing the employee count of the company itself, and not be counting the employees across Vista's portfolio companies. I'm also skipping #5, since the page already is tagged for excessively relying on primary sources. Thanks, Ptrnext (talk) 23:33, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again Wikipedia.

I work with Vista Equity Partners and am writing this request to ask for the template to be removed from the top of the page. I have done my best to research the issues listed in the template and address them below:

1. “This article may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. The specific problem is: REFBOMB and possibly fails ORGIND as too much reliance on company-produced info/announcements/interviews/quotations.”

Currently, there are 103 sources listed on the page. I only see one that comes from the company, after the sentence, “The company has offices in several cities, including Austin, Texas, New York City, and San Francisco.” Could someone just delete this source? It looks like the other sources listed support that statement.

I have also gone through the sources and I don’t see where company interviews and quotations are overused. I see that some of the sources contain quotes, but it doesn’t look like the quotes are overused to gather information for the Wikipedia article. Could you please point me to specific examples so we can remedy this issue?

I researched the REFBOMB issue to see what that was in reference to. I have done my best to fact check the article, and would like to offer the following adjustments:

- Under the section “2010-2019” it says “The company opened an office in Austin, Texas, in 2011.”

After reviewing the source, it should actually say, “In 2011, the company moved its headquarters to Austin, Texas.”

-Under the section “2020-present” it says, “ In 2020, Vista joined Diligent Corporation's modern leadership initiative and pledged to create five new board roles among its portfolio companies for racially diverse candidates.”

It looks like this information is in the Forbes source, but not in the current Diligent source. Here is a source that supports the information about joining Diligent: [Source: Diligent]

-Under the section “2020-present” it says, “In January 2022, it was announced that Citrix Systems had been acquired in a $16.5 billion deal by affiliates of Vista and Evergreen Coast Capital. The all-cash acquisition will see Citrix merge with TIBCO, a Vista portfolio company.”

I see that the source doesn’t mention anything about TIBICO. Here is a source to support that statement: [Source: Tech Target]

Please let me know if there is any other information that needs better sourcing.

2. “This article contains content that is written like an advertisement.”

Can you point me to specific instances where the content is written like an advertisement so we can adjust?

3. Additionally, we previously made a request to have the company's assets under management placed in the info box on the top of the page. Earlier, we only had a firsthand source, so here is a source from Sept 2022 stating that the assets under management are $96 billion: https://www.pehub.com/vista-equity-partners-adds-charlton-as-managing-director-to-credit-team/

Thank you for your help! VistaEP-37 (talk) 14:44, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
